Features of translation of the petrarchistic clich'e from Italian into English

The article deals with the description of the basic features of the translation of the Petrarchistic cliché from Italian into English. There are analyzed the works of the English poets who impersonified Petrarch and translated his works into English. There are considered the requirements to translation without distortion and the changes of the original text following the principles of the high Renaissance and the norms of the culture of the time in the combination of the conservation of the individual style and the author's writing style, literary sending and sense.
