Peculiarities of translation of texts of gastronomic discourse from Chinese into Russian (based on the material of bilingual menu)

The article deals with the techniques used in translating the names of Chinese dishes into Russian in bilingual restaurant menus. The results of the semantic-motivational analysis of Chinese menu gluttonyms are presented, and the recommendations for the translation of Chinese dish names depending on their semantic-motivational characteristics are given.
