Features of translation of spoken language in cinematography from Russian into a foreign language

The article examines the problems of translation from Russian into English and German. Particular attention is paid to the issues of accurate and free translation, adaptation of texts. The difficulties of translating idioms, jokes, and cultural references are analyzed. The results of the study are the conclusions that translating films from Russian into foreign languages is a process that goes beyond literal translation and requires an understanding of the national culture and the translator's ability to adapt content.
