This article analyses the regulatory frameworks governing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in Turkey, China and India. Through a systematic comparison of KKDIK (Turkey), GB/T 17519-2013 and GB/T 16483-2008 / forthcoming GB 30000.1-2024 (China) and the draft Chemical Management and Safety Rules (CMSR) of India, the study highlights key differences in SDS structure, language obligations, registration and revision procedures, and the degree of digital oversight. A three-tier typology of regulatory stringency— strict, moderate and simplified — is proposed. The paper offers actionable recommendations to help chemical exporters minimize compliance risks and maintain uninterrupted market access.
