Peculiarities of poetics of the short story "A society" by Virginia Woolf

The article is devoted to the analysis of peculiarities of poetics of the short story by one of the greatest writers of English modernism Virginia Woolf. As a result of the analysis typical features of Woolf‘s style were pointed out. In the short story the issue of gender inequality which prevented women from realizing their creative potential was also raised. The feminist views of Virginia Woolf who thought that human potential prevailed over gender differences were also considered in the article.
