The article analyzes general and specific features of traditional legal proceedings in the bodies of verbal reprisals against the indigenous peoples of Siberia in the pre-revolutionary period. It is concluded that the issues of interaction between imperial legal proceedings and customary legal justice of the peoples of Siberia, as well as the development of jurisdiction over them by the Russian administration are underrepresented in the historical and legal literature. The development of traditional justice is characterized by particularism, the absence of clear systematization and regulation of judicial procedures in foreign courts.
