Features of the legal regulation of remote work and freelancing in the Russian Federation

The article is devoted to important problems of legal regulation of e-work in the Russian Federation. It gives a detailed analysis of typical peculiarities of legal regulation of such forms of labour organization as “remote work” and “freelance”. Attention is drawn to the difference of these terms based on the type of contract made between the employee and the employer. It should be emphasized that a teleworker enters into an employment contract for teleworking, and a freelancer draws up a civil law contract. Based on the analysis of legal acts on the legal regulation of remote work, it is established that there are gaps in the legislation, the elimination of which will contribute to a wider and more effective use of this form of labor relations. The article also touches upon the theme of registration of the activity of freelancers in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
