The features of the implementation of legal regulation of the labor activity of migrants on the territory of the Union State of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation have been studied. Despite mutual declarations of intentions both on the part of the Russian Federation and on the part of the Republic of Belarus to create a unified legal framework of the Union State, the signing of road maps containing points on the unification of the legislation of Russia and Belarus, including in terms of migration rules, each state still continues to follow its own individual legal path in regulating administrative legal relations with the participation of foreign citizens and stateless persons. Some features of the modern Russian migration legislation regarding the implementation of labor activities by external migrants and new legislative requirements establishing employment opportunities for various categories of immigrant workers in Belarus are analyzed. Significant differences in the legal regulation of external labor migration in Russia and Belarus are noted, and directions for possible unification of the current migration legislation on the territory of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, regulating labor relations with the participation of a foreign entity, are proposed.
