In this work, the author has made an attempt to investigate the expert support of foreign legislative activities in individual member states of the European Union. A preliminary study of the problems stated by the author showed that the work on the preparation of draft legislative acts is the most creative and time-consuming stage of the rule-making process, which is based on a deep and comprehensive analysis of not only legislative norms, but also law enforcement practice. The stage under consideration provides for serious organizational measures that should be based on scrupulous analytical work related to the collection and analysis of the necessary data that form the basis of the texts of draft laws, as well as their comprehensive study, coordination, as well as a number of measures aimed at conducting expert assessments. Therefore, this scientific research is conducted in order to study the methodological foundations and features of conducting expert assessments in the preparation of draft regulatory legal acts in individual states of the European Union. It will continue to generalize and analyze the existing foreign experience in conducting and expert support of foreign legislative activities, while focusing on the special practical significance of the activity under consideration. The scientific novelty of this work is the analysis of the methodological foundations and features of expert assessments in the preparation of draft laws in the member states of the European Union. The practical significance of this scientific work is expressed in the fact that its conclusions and recommendations can further contribute to the generalization and analysis of the positive experience of the member states of the European Union aimed at conducting and expert support of domestic legislative work.
