The рecularities of teaching English for special purposes in a technical university

The article analyzes the main methods of teaching English for special purposes in the preparation of qualified specialists in various fields, including technical specialties. It is shown that this process includes specific grammatical functions, the understanding of terminology, as well as the abilities necessary for communication in the workplace. It is established that the use of multimedia technologies to ensure this learning process contributes to a better assimilation of knowledge by students. This approach in teaching has shown high efficiency in the formation of knowledge, skills and abilities of students of the Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics.
