Features of teaching the discipline "Manas studies" in the educational process

This article is devoted to the consideration of the specifics of teaching the discipline "Manas Studies" in the framework of the educational process. The main focus is on the study of the folklore heritage of the Kyrgyz people, in particular, epic tales. The article analyzes various classifications of the epic, its importance in shaping the personality of the younger generation, as well as modern methodological approaches to teaching. Special attention is paid to the epic "Manas" as the central work combining the features of a heroic and everyday epic. The article presents an analysis of research on the study of oral creativity, and emphasizes the need to take into account the peculiarities of folklore in teaching. There are four key aspects of teaching the epic proposed by the scientist A. Muratov, which must be taken into account by teachers in order to achieve their educational goals.
