Peculiarities of teaching the “Firearms training” discipline

The article considers the discipline of “ re training”, aimed at training law enforcement o cers and students. Its signi cance for the performance of o cial duties has been determined. The need to carry out targeted work to acquire and improve the skills of the presented course is justi ed. Also, the importance of psychological training within its framework is explained. The emotional component, as indicated in the article, has a direct impact on the quality of shooting. The need for self-defense training at the end of the entire course is argued. Problems in functioning in the internal a airs bodies and possible ways to eliminate them are presented, more precisely recommendations that can increase the level of professional training or make it possible to ensure optimal forms of organization of re training. It was concluded that improving the subject of “ re training” should become one of the prerogatives of training law enforcement o cers. With the competent and skillful treatment of the police o cer with weapons, regardless of his position, it is possible to ensure not only his personal safety, but also an effective solution to the tasks facing him to prevent, suppress and solve crimes, arrest, as well as, in an emergency, and destroy the attacker.
