Features of teaching a foreign language taken into account of students’ clips thinking

The article is devoted to the consideration of a specific phenomenon of modernity - clip thinking among the younger generation. The predominance of superficial and fragmentary thinking, difficulties in concentrating attention, the dominant visual channel of memorizing information, intellectual laziness, and a low level of critical analysis of incoming information are important components of students' clip thinking. The article reveals the factors influencing the development of clip thinking, the positive and negative sides of this phenomenon, analyzes the signs of clip thinking in students. Learning a foreign language is particularly difficult for students with a clip type of thinking, due to the fact that any language is a complex system that cannot be learned in fragments, it requires deep assimilation and understanding of linguistic phenomena in their entirety and interrelationship. A teacher is required to take a special approach to the organization of the educational process in a foreign language: the use of adequate techniques, methods and teaching tools that will allow students to adapt to the peculiarities of clip thinking, using the strengths of this phenomenon. The article provides some methodological recommendations on the organization of the process of learning a foreign language, taking into account the clip thinking of students.
