The article is devoted to the specifics of teaching medical disciplines in English as medium instruction to the international students of a medical university on the example of the discipline "Psychology and Behavioral Medicine". Special role of Behavioral Medicine in the training of any speciality doctors is considered to determine the basic patterns and mechanisms of communication in a professionally oriented environment. The authors emphasize the importance of communication skills development as an integral part of the professional competencies of a contemporary medical specialist. The authors conclude that appropriate language competencies of teachers and proper teaching materials ensure successful implementation of the educational process in English as medium instruction.
