Features of the application of survey methodology in a sociological research of students’ evaluation of the curator's work in HEIs

The article is devoted to the problem of curatorship in HEIs. In order to control and evaluate the curator and the institution of curatorship in general, the method of sociological monitoring, in which students should participate, is proposed. For an objective assessment, the toolkit must be constantly refined. In this case, the toolkit is a questionnaire that allows the student's assessment of the academic curator's work. The purpose of the article is to present the survey methodology for the certain areas. On the one hand, to provide a description of the methodology in terms of the research tasks to be carried out and the tools and organization of the survey accordingly; on the other hand, to identify first-year students' assessment of the curator in a number of areas related to the study organization, the domestic sphere and extracurricular activities, resulting in an overall evaluation and recommendations. The survey methodology includes six corresponding blocks of empirical indicators and a block of sociodemographic indicators. In organizational terms, the methodology involves a full-scale survey of first-year students and can be applied at any institution that has a curatorship institution in place.
