Features of manifestation of professional maladaptation among specialists of social protection institutions

The article deals with the problem of professional maladaptation of specialists of social protection institutions. This phenomenon is understood by the authors as a complex process of violation of the individual's personal adaptive abilities in the course of professional activity. The results of an empirical study conducted in social protection institutions of Lipetsk and Lipetsk region are presented. On the basis of the selected criteria, the features of manifestation of professional maladaptation in social sphere specialists are analyzed. The conducted study revealed the presence of maladaptation manifestations in most of the subjects, which indicates the need for correctional work with them for more successful implementation of their professional activities and for the prevention of subsequent possible professional and personal deformities. At the same time, such maladaptation manifestations in social workers are not a reason for them to suspend the performance of their duties, but they require urgent attention due to the specifics of the activities carried out due to interaction with a wide range of people.
