Specific features of public procurement during COVID-19 pandemic period

This article examines the concept of public procurement in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law "On the contractual system in the field of procurement of goods, works, services to meet state and municipal needs", investigates the problems associated with procurement during a pandemic, analyzes specific government support measures aimed at preventing, preventing and eliminating the consequences of coronavirus infection. The author comes to the conclusion that at present the public procurement system in the Russian Federation is rather cumbersome and immobile, and therefore the conditions of the complex epidemiological situation in the world determined the insufficient preparedness of the authorities to combat the pandemic and became an additional incentive for the reform of the public system purchases.
