The essence and importance of expert research in terms of evaluating the evidence presented in the framework of criminal proceedings are considered. The goals and objectives that are pursued within the framework of the assigned forensic psychiatric examination are highlighted, as well as the requirements that form the basis of expert research conducted in relation to a minor suspect or accused. The stages of this type of examination, as well as the criteria for competent expert opinion, determined by the specifics of the behavior and attitude of the minor, are given.
