Peculiarities of the psychological portrait of people surveying a middle-age crisis

The publication is devoted to issues related to the ideas about the psychological portrait of people experiencing a midlife crisis. A comparative randomized study of the psychological profile of two groups of respondents (n=40 people) was carried out: the control group and patients who applied for psychological help in connection with the midlife crisis. It was revealed that the characteristic features of the portrait of these people are symptoms of distress and depression, differences in life-sense priorities with people of the same age, in whom the crisis did not manifest itself or is proceeding productively. Measures are proposed to develop a system of psychological support for people acutely experiencing a midlife crisis and help them, including expanding the availability of professional correction and raising public awareness of the problem.
