The aim of this article is to review the main lexical manipulation features in terms of teaching basic Russian as a foreign language. The goals of the article involve the description of relationships among lexical, morphemic and grammatical systems of the language; the description of the fundamental methodological principles of selection, organization, presentation and semantization of lexical material. The specific task is to master the ability to solve the most challenging lexical and grammatical issues.
