The development of multichannel radio communication technology has led to the emergence of unified (over-the-horizon) stations providing communication both in line-of-sight mode and in the mode of long-range tropospheric propagation of VHF radio waves, which determines the relevance of identifying the features of calculating the characteristics of over-the-horizon radio lines in the near tropospheric zone. The content of this article is an analysis of the features of radio wave propagation on over-the-horizon communication lines for energy calculation in order to take them into account in the planning process.
