Special aspects of museology development in the context of ideological changes in the Soviet state of the middle of the 1930th years

The article covers the main factors influencing the development of museology in the Soviet State in the 1930-ies. During those times, government ideology underwent significant changes and it had a major influence on exhibition, scientific and educational activities of museums. First of all, the national purpose and direction changed, cosmopolitan ideas were rejected and the concept of Russian patriotism captured minds. In this article, an attempt is made to show a close connection between museum activities and government ideology on the example of a few museum events (1937 Pushkin Jubilee, Anniversary of the Patriotic War of 1812, restoration of historical monuments, etc.)
