Specifics of realization of the law on general compulsory education in the Middle Volga region

The difficulties and specifications of the development and pedagogic personnel training in the Middle Volga Region during the introduction of the Law on General Compulsory Education in the 30-th past century are discussed. Economic and cultural backwardness of the region demanded to solve the problem of pedagogic personnel training for Russian and national schools as soon as possible. Insufficient educational and methodic level of teachers essentially influenced the quality of the educational process and studying progress of the students. Lack of the tradition of the education reception, low-level life of the population did not allow giving education for all children of school age. Introduction of the general compulsory education allowed to liquidate the illiteracy and to overcome the household backwardness of the most part of the population, to raise the level of the economic development of the region.
