The features of the Russian educational policy in the Caucasus in the 18th and 19th centuries (by the example of the city of Mozdok)

The article describes the development of the educational system by the example of the city of Mozdok as an integral socio-cultural body. The author traced the evolution of charity, which was greatly influenced by the educated people of different classes. In the post-reform period an interest in education was further heightened due to the transition to a new era of development of bourgeois relations. A special attention was paid to Ossetian Theological Commission, whose task was to acquaint local population with education.
