Knowledge of the characteristics of growth and development, as well as the formation of meat productivity in specialized beef cattle will help to choose the most appropriate animal genotype. The proper organization of growing and fattening allows us to obtain the high efficiency of beef cattle breeding. Growth rates of young cattle have a great importance for the efficiency of the beef cattle enterprise. The young stock of import selection considerably exceeds the live weight of the peers of the first group. Therefore, with a relatively equal weight at birth, calves of imported breeding by the end of fattening surpassed their peers by 47 kg or 9.5%. Since the conditions of feeding and housing in the experimental groups were the same, it can be concluded that the superiority of the second group is due to the high genetic potential of meat productivity. Depending on the age period, the value of average daily gains varies from 683 grams to 967 grams per day.
