This article discusses features of self-monitoring as a versatile studying skill in primary school children. A refined definition of «self-monitoring in primary school age» and its specified operation structure are given. The author establishes a relation between the forms of self-monitoring and methods of learning. The article defines the objects for self-monitoring in primary school age education.
