The singularity of image in ornamental prose of the XX century

The article is dedicated to the analysis of the specific charachteristics of the image in ornamental prose of the XX century. Traditionally its originality considered by the researchers as the influence of verse on prose. The authors of the article suggest considering ornamental prose as one of the variants of cubistic principle – the phenomenon that reflects the world view and the consciousness of the person in the 1-st part of the XX century.
