The article considers the essence and features of forensic expertise in accordance with Federal law № 73-FL of 31.05.2001, as well as the specifics of forensic economic expertise as an independent type in the structure of existing forensic examinations. The article describes the characteristics of accounting and financial and economic expertise that determine the judicial economic expertise in General. The questions solved by the expert in the investigation of criminal bankruptcy crimes are systematized, the types of criminal bankruptcies and their specifics are given.
