Features of shadow theatre and its meaning for the development of children of preschool age

This article focuses on the long-known, but undeservedly forgotten in preschool mind of theatre the theatre of shadows, the justification of its role in the upbringing and development of children of preschool age. In the article the author reveals the importance of the art of shadow theater for creative and General development of preschool children, especially the use of shadow theater in the work of the teachers of preschool institutions, the possibility of using elements of shadow theater in the educational process with children of preschool age, the influence of shadow theatre on the overall development of children of preschool age, using elements of shadow theater in the enrichment of educational subject-spatial environment. The article reveals the essence of multi-art and the specificity of the theatre of shadows. The conclusion is made about the value of multi-art approach for multidimensional, more systematic introducing children to this kind of art at all levels of art education from perception to performance and creativity.
