The clinical pattern of tubuculosis in young and preschool children of Sakha Republic

Analytical data based on medical documentation of 84 infants and children with tuberculosis were retrospectively studied. The following characteristics of primary tuberculosis process were found: the clinical course of pediatric tuberculosis infection is most severe in the presence of a diseased sputum smear-positive contact, primary tuberculosis is characterised by a full-blown clinical radiologic picture, persistent symptoms of intoxication, and a complicated and torpid development.
