Peculiarities of Russia's image transformation in consciousness of modern youth

The given paper is a theoretical and practical study of the image of Russia in the consciousness of modern youth aged 18 to 22 years. Explicating the essence and nature of the Russian State image transformation at the turn of the XX-XXI centuries, which is determined by the specifics of its understanding by the representatives of the modern youth generation. The method of free associative experiment, the method of comparative analysis, as well as the method of analysis and synthesis were used in the survey. As a result, the assumption is made that the true image of Russia in consciousness of modern youth is not determined by an artificially created “image” imposed by the media, but is formed as a result of a variety of internal and external factors under the impact of the attitude that is stated by President Vladimir V. Putin. as the main guarantor of a successful future for the modern youth. Conclusions are drawn that the image of Russia in the consciousness of youth has not yet received sufficient coverage in modern Russian studies and requires further study, taking into account the current conditions of worldwide globalization.
