Characteristics of the Attitudes to Family Relations in Convicts Repeatedly Sentenced to Imprisonment

Introduction. The aim is to identify the characteristics of attitudes to family relations in convicts repeatedly sentenced imprisonment. Materials and Methods. The study was carried out using methods of observation, interviews, questionnaires, contentanalysis, multi-factor methods of personality study adapted by F. B. Berezin and techniques of measuring attitudes in a married couple by Yu. E. Aleshina. The survey involved 74 male convicts of different age categories: from 20 to 69 years old. Results and Discussion. The author presents a comparative analysis of the three categories of convicts serving sentence repeatedly: married before conviction, married while serving sentence, and single. Their individual-psychological characteristics and basic attitudes to family relations are considered. Conclusions. The basic and specific attitudes to the family relationships of those repeatedly to sentenced imprisonment are identified.
