Gender peculiarities of socio-cultural development in the regional community of Karachay-Cherkessia

The article analyses the results of sociological research in the form of interviews with business women of Karachay-Cherkessia and a survey (questionnaire) of seventy socially active women. As a result, it has been revealed that the possibility of women of Karachay-Cherkessia Republic to carry out economic activity, political career, manifestation of their independent financial position, self-realisation correlates with many factors, both objective on the one hand-sociocultural, gender marking of activity, stereotypes, and subjective on the other. The need to develop a further strategy for the political and socio-economic life of the region leads to a multiple increase in women's participation in the development of the subject. This in turn implies active participation of women in both business and politics in the region. On this basis, it is interesting to trace the trends in women's choice of the sphere of their business activity and the reasons for this choice, which in general change the entire socio-cultural field of the republic and are important for determining the potential vectors of the region's development. The main motives of business activity, problems faced by women of the republic and ways of adaptation to them are revealed.
