The article is devoted to the study of aspects of the development of choreographic art, highlighted on the pages of the literary and artistic magazine “Rubezh”, published by the Far Eastern branch of Russian emigration from August 22, 1926 to August 10, 1945. Despite the stated focus of the magazine as a literary and artistic one, the magazine was filled with articles and photographs on a variety of topics: choreography, fashion, medicine, beauty contests, cooking, politics, obituaries, etc. There are materials dedicated to Chinese fine art. The authors of the article conclude that the Rubezh magazine is a valuable source for studying the choreographic art of the Far Eastern branch of emigration, describing in detail the creative and pedagogical activities of Russian emigrants, which unfolded both in Harbin, Shanghai and Tianjin, and as part of touring activities in Japan, India, the Philippines, etc. The Russian classical dance school has become the foundation of education in numerous schools and studios opened in China. Russian emigrants staged performances of classical ballet heritage, as well as the modern Fokinsky repertoire for that time, which is reflected on the pages of the publication.
