Exemption from criminal responsibility for family violence due to the expiration of statute of limitations

The article analyzes the legal norms providing for exemption from criminal liability due to the expiration of the statute of limitations for family violence crimes. On the basis of the undertaken research, the author suggests to amend the Article 78 of the Russian Criminal Code with the provision on the need for calculating the statute of limitations for the crime committed against a minor victim from when they reach the age of eighteen.
