Property relations in the structure of the object of theft of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances

The article analyzes views on property relations as an additional, alternative additional, or optional object of a crime provided for by Art. 229 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The author comes to the conclusion that the recognition of property relations as an additional object of the theft of narcotic drugs contradicts the understanding of this type of the object of a crime in the theory of criminal law. Recognition of property relations as an optional object of theft of narcotic drugs requires additional arguments. There is no need to single out property relations as a separate independent object in the theft of narcotic drugs.
