Reflection of national self-consciousness in A. G. Rumyantsev's lyrics

The article is devoted to the creativity and national identity of the Russian poet Andrey Rumyantsev, who was born and lived in Buryatia. It is based on the material of poems dedicated to his small homeland, Lake Baikal. We have studied the artistic picture of the world associated with the attitude to the small homeland on the material from Rumyantsev's collections of poems "Her Majesty the Life" and "From the Pine to the Star". The author’s picture of the world involves such motives and their variations as love for the native land, special emphasis on Baikal as a center of the beauties of nature and the land of ancestors, the blood connection with ancestors, childhood issues, perception of the small homeland as a big house, including both earth and sky, feeling like an Asian, an inhabitant of the Buryat land and a friend of the Buryat people.
