The reflection of socio-cultural tendencies of contemporary society upon condition of russian university

In this article the main socio-cultural tendencies in Russian society are considered: commercialization of culture, cultural globalization, intensification of socio-cultural differentiation between generations, lowering of possibilities of cultural values' consumption, increase of gap between popular and elite cultures. Their reflection on the state of contemporary Russian Institution in general and universities in particular is considered.
