On the results of general cultural moral competences analysis and their correspondence to students’ levels of moral development

Modern Russian society requires citizens of high moral standards who are able to pattern their behaviour on the moral values system. Along with it, the authors would like to point out that the primary task of higher professional education is to meet all necessary conditions for the moral upbringing of students. The subject of the article is to provide the analysis of general cultural competences which have moral inclination. Besides, the term “morality”, its structure, the criteria and signs of morality, levels of moral development of students (Bachelors) have been analyzed. The authors use the method of analysis to achieve the stated aim based on the analysis of Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Professional Education. As a result of the analysis the discrepancy between the social demand on people with high moral standards and the requirements embodied in Federal State Educational documents has been outlined. The results of the research may be of great importance for educational participants to improve the educational process aimed at moral development of students within the system of higher professional education.
