The "thaw" in the history of Russian culture: opportunistic and enduring

This article gives us another chance to reveal the achievements and transformations which had been happening during the short period of development of our country known as "Thaw" (1953-1964). This decade was marked by such great events and achievements as falling of totalitarian regime in the USSR, mass recovery of victims of Stalin repressions, space exploration, discoveries in different fields of science and technology, new sports records, foundation and transformation of new theaters, emergence of the literary trends, the reforming of secondary and higher education. All these fulfillments had created the favourable soil for the further social and cultural development of the country. The aggregate outstanding achievements in various components of a holistic cultural process, attributable to the period of "Thaw", rightfully allows you to identify the "Thaw" as a powerful breakthrough in the history of Russian culture.
