Reification of man in the technogenic world in the context of transcendent violence

The author reviews the issues concerning the differences in the understanding of the essence of technology and man in archaic societies and the technogenic world. It is shown how technique became an intermediary between man and nature. The essence of immanent and transcendent violence as integral properties of the natural and man-made world is revealed. The problematic nature of human existence in the context of transcendent violence is shown, the reasons why a return to the world of immanence is fundamentally impossible are indicated. Attention is focused on the process of total reification, including the transformation of the person himself / herself into a thing. The problematic nature of the situation that has developed in this regard is shown both in a person’s awareness of himself / herself and his / her place in the world, and in the prospects for the development of the technogenic world. The necessity of shifting the emphasis from utilitarianism as a property of a thing to the sphere of aesthetic and emotional is substantiated.
