The genotype panels of viral hepatitis C

Genotype 1a, 1b, 2a and 3a of viral hepatitis C was tested by means of PCR diagnostics. Information about the frequency of different subtypes was obtained. The research showed a decrease in the frequency of genotype 1b identification with the simultaneous increase in genotype 3a and mixed genotypes among the people examined in the period of 2008 to 2010. It was revealed that subtype 1b dominates in females, while subtype 3a was more frequent in males.
