The article focuses on paremias containing chrononym components – Orthodox anthroponyms – and their linguocultural features within the context of traditional Russian festivals. The study adopts a linguoaxiological and ethnocultural approach to uncover the cultural information, religious symbolism, and social functions embedded in these paremias. The research material consists of an authorial card index compiled through a comprehensive selection of paremias from authoritative dictionaries and ethnolinguistic sources. Methodologically, the analysis integrates descriptive, semantic-cultural, and linguoculturological analyses. The fi ndings reveal that paremias with anthroponyms are deeply intertwined with the agricultural cycle, social life, and nature-related cults. They encode folk knowledge about sowing and harvesting periods (as refl ected in weather lore) and religious beliefs concerning the patronage of saints, thereby refl ecting the worldview and spiritual traditions of Slavic peoples. Playing a signifi cant symbolic role in religious rituals and folk traditions, paremias infl uence the formation of social relations and moral norms. Furthermore, from the perspective of Chinese linguoculture, Russian paremias highlight perceptions of wedding traditions, contrasting with Chinese festivals that emphasize family hierarchy and social norms, thus underscoring the differences in value orientations and social structures between the two linguacultures. Through classifi cation and contextual analysis, the research identifi es changes in the functioning of paremias in modern society, their importance in the process of cultural transmission, and their role in the formation of national identity.
