Pathological and functional changes in the ischemic spinal cord of rats after application of recombinant erythropoietin

Results morphometric study spinal cord showed that the application of recombinant erythropoietin increased content of normal neurons and blood vessels, and the number of neurons with chromatolysis, cell-shade at all stages of the experiments as compared to the 1st series of experiments. All animals injected with recombinant erythropoietin was observed early activation of behavior. Within 36 hours after spinal cord ischemia model and subsequent observation periods they had no neurological disorders and are actively turned to food and water.
