The paper presents the results of the authors’ own research on the territory of the Chelyabinsk Region, the purpose of which is to study pathomorphological changes in internal organs in cattle in a technogenic province. In technologically contaminated areas, soils, water and fodder contain high concentrations of heavy metals. The objectives of the research were to study the nature of changes in internal organs of fallen and forcibly killed animals in the conditions of technogenic pollution, as well as to study histological picture of affected organs and their chemical composition. The examination of internal organs (liver, kidneys, spleen) revealed the changes characteristic of the development of congestion, degenerative and necrobiotic processes in vital organs. In addition, there were the signs of emphysema in the lungs, and infl and the formation of uroliths in the bladder. By light microscopy pathological fi were confi The excess of average standard value of the level lead and nickel was found in the blood of animals, accompanied by their accumulation in the slaughter products. So, the level of nickel in the myocardium exceeded the maximum permissible concentration by 49.1 times, lungs - 42.8 times, kidneys - 39.2, liver - 58.8 and muscle tissue 9.5 times. The content of lead in the tissues of the heart exceeded the norm by 2.8 times, in the lungs - 55.0 times, kidneys - by 25.4 %, liver - by 61.5 %, muscle tissue - 6.8 times. Such level of heavy metals in slaughter products poses a serious threat to human nutrition. The presented data make a signifi contribution to more detailed description of the pathogenesis of chronically occurring intoxications against the background of poisoning of the mammalian body with salts of heavy metals.
