Бесплатный доступ
Patriarch Tikhon was appointed to the rank of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia in 1917, on the eve of the October Revolution. After November 25, Russia began to rapidly implement the ideas of Karl Marx about the dictatorship of the proletariat and the liberation of society from the influence of religions and big capital. Simultaneously with the organization of the alternative ROC of the Renewed church administration, active anti-religious activities of party propagandists developed. Against the backdrop of these events, Saint Tikhon displayed an extraordinary firmness, strength of mind and clarity of thought. He played a very important role in Soviet Russia, which is still not fully appreciated.
