The patterns of urban childhood as a reflection of diversity of everyday life of urban children

The article analyses the specifics of children’s life in urban environment, which differentiates the image of childhood in general and creates particular patterns of urban childhood. The uneven spread of urbanization leads to the diversity of everyday social practices of urban children and the "multiplicity" of childhood images in the space-time coordinates. The childhood in a city, urban childhood, reflects the characteristics of the chronotope, since it specifies the time frame and the spatial distinctness. In conclusion the article presents original concepts of "image of childhood, " "image of urban childhood" and "pattern of urban childhood".
