PCR diagnostics with real-time fluorescence detection for rapid detection of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae in association with Streptococcus pneumoniae in pigs

The aim of the study was to use real-time PCR with fluorescence detection for detection in Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae and Streptococcus pneumoniae mixinfections. The results obtained during laboratory diagnostic studies of the pathmaterial from pigs received at the Kropotkin Regional Laboratory over the past 3 years (from 2020 to 2022) indicate a high detection rate of M. hyopneumoniae in association with S. pneumoniae (from 40 to 60 %). PCR diagnostics with real-time fluorescence detection is optimal for the rapid detection of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae in association with Streptococcus pneumoniae in pigs.
