The article discusses the problem of professional competence of an inclusive education teacher in a preschool educational organization. The significance of the problem is indicated by regulatory documents: the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Federal Law“On Education in the Russian Federation”, the Federal State Educational Standard for Preschool Education. The need to create special conditions in which healthy children and children with disabilities could study together is emphasized, and issues of integrating special (correctional) education methods into the general educational environment are also considered. The problems and role of the teacher in the implementation of the inclusive education system in a preschool organization are outlined. The authors presented the results of a study of the competence of the institution’s teachers to implement inclusive education on the basis of the MDOU “Kindergarten No. 163 of a general developmental type” in Magnitogorsk. To improve the level of professional competence of preschool teachers, the course “Inclusion and Me” was developed.
