Pedagogical model of the development of foreign language communicative competence of the university staff as a resource for international activities

The importance of the paper is explained by the contradiction between the requirements to the foreign language communicative competence of the university teaching staff from the university administration and the insufficient methodological support of educational process aimed at increasing the level of the foreign language communicative competence. The study is aimed to develop a pedagogical model encouraging the development of the foreign language communicative competence of the teaching staff of the university, within the additional language training for active participation of university staff in an international research and educational activities. The literature on the use of andragogical approach to further adult education, both at the level of methodology, and the level of its implementation in adult education was made. The pedagogical model encouraging the development of foreign language communicative competence of the teaching staff of the university is described. The content component of the model was designed based on the models of linguistic and professional competence of students. The model designed can be used in the development of training programs aimed at improving foreign language communicative competence of the university staff.
